Food Drive

Join fellow USA Dive Club members and guests for a morning of community service and camaraderie at the Pompano Beach Elks Lodge. The Elks Lodge is located just north of Sample Road in Pompano Beach, east of I-95 and west of US Highway 1.
On Sample Road, go to NE 12th Avenue and turn north at the Kraeer Funeral Home. Drive north on NE 12th Avenue, turn left at the fork in the road. Drive around the line of cars waiting at the fork in the road.
Each month, a local grocery store and several community organizations deliver a large quantity of food items for needy families. At about 11:00 am, the food is delivered via a large truck to the Elks Lodge. Volunteers are needed to unload the food items, then relocate food items to several smaller individual food delivery boxes. The Elks provide plastic gloves and drinking water on site. Shortly thereafter, gates to the Elks Lodge parking lot are opened and a long line of needy families begin driving, one by one, through the parking lot. Volunteers place smaller individual boxes of food into each vehicle. By about 12:00 noon, all the food has been delivered and the Food Drive ends.
USA Dive Club members and guests are invited to enjoy a group lunch afterward at Bonefish Mac's restaurant nearby in Lighthouse Point.
